A scene along the Athabasca River in Alberta
Sometimes I can't resist photographing a colourful sunset
I was heading out one fall morning when I witnessed the mist rising to expose the mountain in the distance
After a spring thundershower mist lingered over the distant peaks
I return to Saskatchewan whenever I can, love the prairies
The mineral constituents and sediment loads of the water affect the changing appearance of the Athabasca River throughout the year
When I think of the foothills this is what comes to mind
I stayed up all night to photograph the Aurora borealis; they didn't materialize but the consolation prize was this sublime setting that emerged as the fog began to lift over the lake.
